Recent THS Grad Honored by YWCA

Remember Alexis Tibbits, the newly graduated THS student who was awarded the Gates Millennium Scholarship back in April? ( Well, she was recently awarded another prestigious award: the 2016 Future Leaders Award at the YWCA's annual Women of Excellence awards ceremony!

According to her bio, "Alexis has taken honors and advanced placement courses... maintaining a GPA of 4.33 and earning a 31 on her ACT. She's a member of National Honor Society, My Alpha Theta, National English Honor Society, Young Life, Fellowship of Christian Students, AFS, Link Crew and AVID. She has volunteered at Stormont Vail, Harvesters, Special Olympics and Camp Barnabas."

Congratulations, Alexis-- we're proud of your hard work, school involvement and giving spirit! Have a good time and keep up the great work when you start college in the fall!
