TPS Foundation Golf Tournament

On Friday May 23rd, 24 teams participated at Cypress Ridge Golf Course in the twenty first annual TPS Foundation sponsored Winfred Tidwell Memorial Fundraiser Golf Tournament. Thanks Topeka for continuing to support TPS and the TPS Foundation!

New to the tournament this year was Learning Quest and American Century Investments as an Underwriter sponsor. State Treasurer Ron Estes played and briefly spoke about the Learning Quest Savings program.      

TPS Board Of Education President, Janel Johnson, came out to meet & greet participants and to show BOE support for the Foundation fundraiser.
Mayor Larry Wolgast issued a proclamation recognizing May 23rd as Winfred Tidwell Day. The proclamation was read and issued to Win’s fraternity Kappa Alpha Psi. Steve Dean, fraternity president accepted the proclamation on behalf of the frat.

Because the tournament is a benefit fundraiser for TPS, the monetary prizes given are nominal, thus we heartily thank the golfers for participating anyway, enjoying the day and having a charitable spirit on behalf of youth!
