TPS Leadership Academy Celebrates Graduates

The Topeka Public Schools Leadership Academy celebrated the graduation of nine participants on Tuesday, December 10th in a ceremony at Hummer Sports Park. The graduates are all TPS employees who have spent the last two years preparing for leadership roles and working toward their Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Kansas State University. Participants in the Leadership Academy completed a 30-hour master’s degree program while attending classes in Topeka. Topeka Public Schools provided textbooks and a mentor for each of the staff members in the program. Participants also had the option to earn their administrative license, which would allow them to become principals. The graduates are:

In addition to recognizing the recent graduates, the Leadership Academy committee also announced the next group of participants, who will begin their two-year course of study in January. They are:
