The October 11th varsity football game between Topeka High School and Emporia High School led to a unique record for the Trojans. Topeka High is now the only unbeaten 6A team in the state after beating Emporia 21-17 at Hummer Sports Park. Last year the Trojans suffered only one loss during the regular season, to Manhattan High. They made it all the way to Round 2 of the playoffs, where they were overtaken by Hutchinson High School 33-42. The Trojans, led by head coach Walt Alexander, will head to Manhattan High School to battle the Indians this Friday, October 18 at 7:00, followed by games against Junction City on October 25 and Washburn Rural on November 1.
We are the largest district in Shawnee County & believe that our students will change the world.
