On October 16th, students involved in Landon Middle School’s SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) club participated in a community-wide campaign called Sticker Shock. Led by an adult chaperone and a law enforcement officer, the students went to three area liquor stores placing warning stickers on alcoholic beverages. In an effort to reduce underage drinking by limiting youth access to alcohol, the sticker warns that it is illegal to provide alcohol to minors. Liquor stores participating in the event were Reeb’s Retail Liquor, Fleming Place Wine and Spirits, and Watkins Liquor.
We are the largest district in Shawnee County & believe that our students will change the world.
