Education Commissioner Reads to Students

Diane DeBacker, the Kansas Commissioner of Education, read the book Otis to students at Meadows Elementary School today.  Otis is the story of a tractor who loves his farmer and who loves to work. The book is the same one that was read to students throughout the nation today to celebrate Jumpstart’s Read for the Record.  Read for the record is a campaign that brings children and adults together to read the same book on the same day.
