Topeka High School teacher Kimberly Sonnich is the recipient
of the 2013 Yale Educator Award. The
Yale University Award recognizes outstanding educators from around the world
who support and inspire their students to perform at high levels and to achieve
excellence. Sonnich was one of 52
teachers from 36 states and 13 countries to receive the award. She was nominated by former Topeka High School student Leobardo Espinoza who now attends Yale University. Sonnich teaches language arts at Topeka High.
