We have all seen the "I voted today" stickers that people get when they
vote on election day. When fathers drop off their kids at elementary schools on
August 13th, the first day of school, they will get a sticker saying "I dropped
my child off at school today." The stickers are meant to show how important it
is for fathers to be involved in their child's schooling. It's hoped that
fathers will be encouraged to take part in school related events throughout the
year. It's estimated that one million fathers across America will take their
children to school on the first day of school in conjunction with the Million
Father March 2013. (stickers will also be given to mothers and grandparents who
drop off their kids at school on August 13 as well)
We are the largest district in Shawnee County & believe that our students will change the world.
