Recent Topeka High graduate Miranda Figgs will be one of two
Kansas students representing Youth Entrepreneurs at a national business plan
competition. Youth Entrepreneurs is a
year-long class that teaches business and entrepreneurial education to high
school students. Miranda will compete in
the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship competition this October in New York
City. The top prize is $10,000.
Miranda, who will attend Washburn University, has her own
business called LOL Knitting. Her
primary product is specialized scarves.
She has been operating the business for several years.
