Local student from some 30 elementary and middle schools
competed in the annual SUMday math competition on April 6th. There were two written events, one without a
calculator (number sense) and one with a calculator (geometry). The competition was open to 4th
through 8th grade students. The
top ten scorers on each test for each grade received ribbons and the top three
received medals. Winners from Topeka
