Students Clean Up Along Wanamaker
Some National Honor Society students at Highland Park High School spent Saturday, April 20, taking part in the Topeka Keep American Beautiful/Earth Day cleanup. Students were assigned the lot and creek area next to Taco John’s at 10th and Wanamaker. The kids filled an entire pick up with trash! Highland Park High School adviser Stacey Cohen didn’t think the students would be able to make a dent in all the trash when she first saw it. “After an hour and a half of very hard work, the place looked amazing. I was so proud of them,” said Cohen.
