Eisenhower Middle School to Receive Beautification Award

Eisenhower Middle School will be receiving a national award from Keep American Beautiful.  The school placed 2nd in the Beautification-Youth Group/School category.  The award is one of only 36 being given out.

Since Principal Rebecca Morrisey arrived in July of 2011, school staff and students have been involved in a number of projects to clean up and improve the look of the school both inside and out.  Students have picked up trash around the school, teachers have painted their rooms and a grant from Lowe's has helped create a reading garden.

Eisenhower School officials will receive their award following the Keep America Beautiful Conference in Washington D.C. in January.
