Six Topeka High School publications students attended the National Scholastic Press Association/Journalism Education Association Convention in San Antonio, Texas from November 15-18. Two students won awards in the write-off competition: Joseph Vosburgh, senior, Superior in Sports Writing; Olivia Butler, sophomore, Excellent in Copy and Caption Writing for yearbook student life.
Total attendees: 4,540 (includes 226 exhibitors)

1,734 participants and 679 winners (117 Superiors, 209 Excellents, 353 Honorable Mentions)
