Topeka High Receives Gallup Award

The Topeka High School World Newsmagazine has been awarded a George H. Gallup Award for Excellence for last year’s newspaper.  The award is the highest honor that a high school news publication can receive.

Judges gave the publication superior ratings for overall coverage, overall visuals and overall writing and editing.  The Quill & Scroll International Honorary Society from the School of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Iowa presents the awards.  Topeka High School has won Gallup Awards in 1983, 2008 and 2012.

Congratulations to journalism teacher Barbara Padget and her students at the World Newsmagazine.
