More than 1,200 volunteers from 20 local churches and organizations joined school
district staff volunteers in the annual ShareFest event on September 29th. Painting, planting and general maintenance
was done at Quincy, Shaner, McCarter, Lowman Hill, Ross, State Street and
McClure Elementary Schools along with Eisenhower, Chase and Robinson Middle
Schools and Topeka High and Topeka West High Schools.
“The schools look great and the weather couldn’t have been better,” said Executive Director of Administration Tammy Austin. ShareFest was created with the belief that churches can do more together than any one church could do separately to reach out to the community.
