Topeka Public Schools has been chosen as Employer of the Year by Valeo Behavioral Health Care. The school district was honored today for its willingness to hire and accommodate individuals with a disability by providing them with employment. “Sometimes all they need is help in getting started and getting over the rough patch of starting their job," said Kristin Farley of Valeo. "USD 501 has been very helpful in getting them through that transition."
Substitute Services Coordinator for Topeka Public Schools, K.C. Crawford, was guest speaker at the Valeo Awards Ceremony. She accepted the award on behalf of the school district.
