The Confidence in Kansas Public Education Task Force has announced that Williams Magnet and Chase Middle School are Challenge Award winners for 2011. The awards recognize schools for outstanding achievement and uncommon accomplishment based on Kansas Assessment results from 2011 and other qualifying factors--specifically the sample size, ethnicity and socie-economic status of those taking the test.
On November 9, Williams Magnet will receive a Certificate of Merit as a result of performance on the fifth grade reading assessment and a Certificate of Merit as a result of performance on the fifth grade math assessment. Chase Middle School will receive a Certificate of Merit as a result of performance on the 6th, 7th and 8th grade math assessment and 7th grade reading assessment.
