Introducing students to careers and preparing them for life after school is critical these days. Topeka Public Schools is working with local companies to make sure students get exposure to different jobs. Yesterday, three employees of the Topeka Goodyear plant spoke to students in the bio-tech class at Highland Park High School.
Danny Bower is the chief compounder at Goodyear. He talked to the students about how tires are made and how chemists and tech staff are important in the tire making process. Bowers say he is on a major recruiting trip to get young people into the tech science field. This was his first visit to Highland Park High School.
We are the largest district in Shawnee County & believe that our students will change the world.
