Mrs. Diane Taylor, Chase Middle School Media Specialist, announced that Chase Middle School students and staff read over 1,112,485 minutes during the month of October. Students and staff keep track of minutes read at school and at home on a bookmark.
With the new Reading Series, Expert 21, students at Chase are reading at least 60 minutes a day in class. They also read during other classes. Minutes reading library books and books at home also counted toward the total. With over 560 people participating, they did a great job reading. Friday, November 4th, students received a special treat for their efforts.
We are the largest district in Shawnee County & believe that our students will change the world.
