French MS Eighth Graders Collecting for Rescue Mission

Each year, the Advisor Base (AB) classes at French Middle School participate in community service projects. This year, all eighth grade AB classes are conducting a food and supplies drive for the Topeka Rescue Mission. The drive will run from November 1 through 21.

The summer of 2011 was a record-setting summer at the Mission. Most nights more than 300 homeless men, women and children sought shelter. This was over 100 more individuals per night than during the summer of 2010. The Mission continues to provide meals and food boxes to the hungry at the highest numbers ever.
