The first Topeka Public Schools’ district-wide Family Fitness Fun event drew several hundred people to Hummer Sports Park on April 18th. The event was for students, families and staff of the district and was held to promote healthy living. There were numerous activities for kids including an obstacle course, hula hoops, jump rope, Wii Fit games and a noodle toss. Parents and staff joined the kids in exercising to chicken fat and then participating in Simon says. There was also a mile run/walk. A number of community organizations were at the event distributing information about healthy eating and healthy living.
We are the largest district in Shawnee County & believe that our students will change the world.
